Service and Log Information

When you use our services, our servers automatically record certain information:

We do not build advertising or behavioral profiles from this information, and we do not track you across other websites.

Our platform provides access to oil and gas industry data, including well information, production data, and related analytics. This data is sourced from public records and industry databases.

Cookies, Local Storage, and Tracking Technologies

We use no advertising or analytics cookies

Our application contains no Google Analytics, no advertising or social media pixels, and no third-party analytics or session-recording software. Because we set no optional cookies, we do not show a cookie consent banner — there is nothing to opt into or out of.

The only cookies set when you use QuickScout are strictly necessary ones:

Authentication:
Our identity provider, Clerk, sets session cookies that keep you signed in and protect your account against session hijacking. The application cannot function without these.
Payments:
Stripe sets cookies for fraud prevention when a payment form is displayed. These are loaded only on the pages where you enter payment details, not across the rest of the site.

Separately, we store interface preferences in your browser's local storage — for example map position and basemap, panel layout, saved column and filter choices, table page sizes, and color theme. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us or to any third party, and is not used to identify you. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site data controls.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser preferences. Blocking the authentication cookies will sign you out and prevent the application from working. Because we do not track users across websites, we do not treat browser “Do Not Track” signals differently — there is no cross-site tracking to disable.

Service Providers We Use

We rely on a small number of third-party providers to operate the platform. Each receives only the information needed for its function, and is bound by contract to process it on our instructions:

Clerk:
user authentication and account management
Stripe:
payment processing and subscription billing
Amazon Web Services:
application hosting, data storage, and AI model processing
Mapbox and other basemap and satellite imagery providers:
map rendering. Loading map tiles necessarily discloses your IP address and the map area you are viewing to the tile provider.

Fonts, map tiles, and other static assets are served from our own infrastructure and content delivery network rather than from third-party font or script hosts.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information only in the following circumstances:

Our servers are located in the United States, so using the service involves transferring your information there under appropriate safeguards. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California

We have not sold personal information, and have not shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising, in the preceding twelve months. We therefore do not offer a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link, because there is no such activity to opt out of. California residents may exercise the rights to know, delete, and correct their personal information using the contact details below.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. The specific retention period depends on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.
